But as parents, we have to ask — are these apps helping kids learn, or are they quietly making them dependent on technology? 
The truth lies in how they’re used. AI tools can be amazing for explaining tough concepts, offering instant feedback, and adapting lessons to a child’s pace. They can even boost confidence in kids who struggle in traditional classrooms.
However, if children start using AI to do the thinking for them — copying answers instead of understanding them — they miss the real learning. That’s where guidance comes in. Encourage kids to use these apps as helpers, not shortcuts.
Parents can sit with kids, discuss how the answers are reached, and celebrate the effort behind the solution, not just the result. Over time, kids learn to see AI as a learning buddy — not a replacement for curiosity and creativity. 
Technology should empower thinking, not replace it — that’s the balance we need to teach.
